About CSSD Assistant

This course is aimed at equipping students with the knowledge of the standard protocols, complexities and challenges connected with the CSSD function and the broad working skills required to deliver a high standard of care for patients and the healthcare fraternity. The trainee will be exposed to the fundamentals of sterilization, including sterilizer operations and handling, documentation, quality control, and sterilizing practices. The course will also connect and educate CSSD and infection control coordination.

Assembly, inspection, wrapping, and sterilization of surgical instruments and medical equipment, particularly those relevant to perioperative care, are the responsibilities of the CSSD Technician.
