Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) is a lifesaving procedure useful in many emergencies, including cardiac arrest, near drowning etc. And most importantly, it can happen anytime, anywhere while walking on road or working in office. Automated External Defibrillator (AED) is a portable electronic device that is capable of analysing cardiac arrhythmias and delivering shock. CPR used in conjunction with AED on time within the chain of survival can multiply the chances of survival of a cardiac arrest victim.

Automated External Defibrillator (AED) is a lightweight, portable, sophisticated, yet easy-to-use device that delivers an electric shock through the chest to the heart. The shock can potentially stop all the abnormal heart rhythms (arrhythmias) and allows the heart to resume a normal beating pattern following a sudden cardiac arrest. Already having it in a workplace can save time because AED, if used on time, can double or triple the chances of survival of a cardiac arrest victim.  If not treated within minutes, it quickly leads to death. Everybody must be trained in using AED to minimize the loss of life.
